| Adam Bushnell
Adam Bushnell has taught in primary and secondary schools in the UK and internationally both in state and private education. He is now a full time writer and storyteller running creative writing workshops for all ages in schools, colleges, universities, museums and libraries. He runs training courses for those in the education sector, giving practical, tried and tested strategies to promote advancement in speaking and listening, creative writing and creative curriculum.
Adam is a full member of the Society of Authors, Society for Storytelling, National Assocation of Workshop Providers, Speaking of Books and Equity. He is also the Cultural Ambassador for Gateshead Council and takes part in voluntary work for several children's charities including Young Enterprise, Education Business Connections and Future Business Magnates.
Adam trained to be a teacher and studied a degree in Philosophy at the University of Roehampton in London. He then taught in a primary school in south London for 3 years before moving to Holland. In The Hague, Adam was Head of Art at the largest primary school in Europe. He taught from Early Years to Sixth Form across the 3 school sites, but also had his own primary class. Over the next 5 years he studied a variety of European methods of teaching and learning.
In 2004 Adam moved back to the North East where he began storytelling and writing as a career. He pubished four books, 'Snakes Legs and Cow Eggs', 'Donkeys Wings and Worms Stings', 'Fishes Claws and Dinosaurs Paws' and 'The Dead Storytellers' in 2007. He has also recorded audio versions of these books and has four more books due for release throughout 2009 and 2010. His books are now on the Boys Into Books recommended reading scheme.
