Mark Labrow is an improviser, clown, creative consultant and facilitator. His work centres on cross curricular learning; helping schools to develop their own creative curriculum and find new ways to engage and inspire pupils in the classroom.
Mark manages his own performance company that experiments with clowning, spontaneity and imaginative play and has trained with some of the leading names in Clowning and Improvisation including Philippe Gaulier (Ecole Philippe Gaulier, Paris), De Castro (The Why Not Institute), Jos Houben (Ecole Jacques Le Coq), Keith Johnstone (author of Impro) and the late, great Ken Campbell.
He is currently working on a new book for teachers called ‘Drama Games and Creative Activities for the Secondary Classroom’. The book is a treasure chest of exercises which explores how the fundamental laws of the theatre can enhance creativity in the classroom. The book is published by Pearson Education and will be available from October 2009.
