Ragnhild Isachsen

Ragnhild Isachsen has been a teacher since 1971, in both primary and secondary schools, and is now the Headteacher of Hogsnes oppvekstsenter in Tønsberg, Norway. In 2003, she began a Philosophy for Children and thinking skills project that has had a significant impact on the questions her children ask, how they work and communicate together, and on their ability to think critically and creatively. Then in 2006, her school was the first Nordic school to join the international Community Designed Education network, developing a shared vision, core values and engaging in world-class research. Because of the success of this project, Ragnhild now supports other schools across Europe in the development of leadership and organisational change.
