In September 2000, James Nottingham began a regeneration project to raise the aspirations of young people in Berwick upon Tweed (UK). Working with the 22 schools in the town, the project was so successful that his team was awarded £2million to disseminate the strategies across North East England. Much of this work was related to family learning and involving parents in their child’s learning.
