Listen to your students and raise learning performance
Student voice matters. Research shows that learning performance significantly increases when learners are actively engaged in the learning process and have clear routes of communication. James will show you practical strategies to engage with your pupils and encourage feedback and communication for the benefit of the whole school.
“A really positive day. A lot of learning and ‘eye-opening’. A huge range of strategies to take away and consider” (David Forster, Ashington Children’s Centre)

Performance
As Director of the award-winning RAIS project, James supported all phases of school (including severe and multiple learning difficulty schools) to create class and school councils; improve feedback and communication throughout the school and to find ways for young people to have more of a say in local government. This culminated in a scheme to involve 6 – 16 year olds in the council chamber debates of Alnwick District Council, Northumberland (UK).
When supporting your organisation/school to engage young people, James will draw on his wide range of experiences and help you to develop strategies that really work.
“It was informative, entertaining and challenging, but most of all it made perfect sense” (Joanne Bush, Self Study Support Consultant, Northumberland County Council)
