MartinRenton Martin Renton, Senior Consultant

Martin has developed his reputation as a consultant and trainer in primary and secondary schools nationally and internationally, and in Further and Higher Education institutions. An experienced practitioner, Martin models pedagogical approaches to critical thinking and enquiry, involving all members of the school community; including teachers, teaching assistants, support staff and parents. He has also worked with BBC Education, is a published author, a Visiting Fellow of Newcastle University and is completing his Doctorate in Education. Read more

Helen Richards, Office Manager

Helen Richards is the office manager for Sustained Success, as well as for p4c.com. She has worked with James for 6 years, having initially been Office Manager for the award winning RAIS project which James co-founded. Helen started her career as a medical secretary. She then was office manager for a computer software company before becoming involved in the education sector. Bill Martin is an award-winning headteacher from the USA and renowned expert in leadership and thinking skills. PippaLeslie Pippa Leslie, Leadership and Early Years

Pippa is an inspirational consultant and workshop leader with an established track record of innovation and achievement. She began her career in Early Years and Primary settings as a classroom teacher, moving into a senior leadership role where she developed a particular interest in learning and leadership preferences and the development of creativity through thinking skills methodologies.

LouiseBrown Louise Brown, Early Years & P4C

Louise is currently a Deputy Head and reception teacher (4-5 year olds) in the UK. She has taught in secondary and primary schools, been an Early Years advisory teacher and a teaching and learning consultant. Today, she advises both local and national governments in the UK about the development of teaching and learning, particularly of young children, and supports schools and nurseries across Europe in the development of thinking skills, P4C and leadership.  Read more


 

Mark Labrow

Mark Labrow, Improvisation and Imaginative Play

Mark Labrow is an improviser, clown, creative consultant and facilitator. His work centres on cross curricular learning, helping schools to develop their own creative curriculum and find new ways to engage and inspire pupils in the classroom. His background is in clowning, spontaneity and imaginative play, having trained with some of the world's leading improvisers. He is currently writing his latest book, Drama Games and Creative Activities for the Classroom.  Read more


 

Paul Dearlove

Paul Dearlove, Outdoor Learning and NLP Coaching

Paul has had a varied career in industry and education, having been an officer in the Merchant Navy, a training officer for ICI, a teacher, as well as headteacher of an outdoor school in Denmark. He was instrumental in the development of the award-winning RAIS project and is the creator of OutSmart, encouraging an active approach to co-operative learning. Read more

Trent Burns, Inquiry-led learning and Leadership

Trent is an Assistant Principal at Cambewarra Public School, NSW, Australia. He is a highly experienced leader, teacher and action researcher. His school is a graduate of the CDE Network, allowing Trent to advise colleagues across Australia on shared vision, core values and action research techniques. Adam Bushnell

Adam Bushnell, Storytelling and Creative Writing

Adam Bushnell is a published author and professional storyteller. Previously a teacher, he worked in the UK and internationally in both state and private education. He is featured as a recommended author and storyteller on the Reading is Fundamental and the National Centre for Language and Literacy databases. Ian Mackenzie Ian Mackenzie, Problem Solving Inquiry

Ian is a teacher, writer and trainer. He was Director of Learning at Viscount Learning Community in Auckland, working alongside an innovative team who sought to change the face of schooling through authentic problem based inquiry. Now based in the UK, he continues to teach in Primary and Middle schools, and to support schools with the fostering of children’s talents and interests through authentic inquiry.  Read more

Ragnhild Isachsen, Leadership and Thinking Skills

Ragnhild is currently the Headteacher of Hogsnes oppvekstsenter in Tønsberg, Norway. In 2003, she began a P4C and thinking skills project that had a significant impact on the questions her children ask, how they work and communicate together, and on their ability to think critically and creatively. Her school was the first in Norway to join the CDE network, with such impressive results that she now supports other schools across Europe in the development of leadership and thinking skills. RogerSutcliffe

Roger Sutcliffe, P4C and Global Citizenship

Roger Sutcliffe is one of the founders and co-directors, along with James, of p4c.com - an online resource and collaboration site for philosophy for children. He was also a founding member of SAPERE, a charity supporting P4C throughout the UK, and President of ICPIC, the International Council for Philosophical Inquiry with Children. He has been evaluator of two Geographical Association projects, and co-designer of an International GCSE titled 'Global Perspectives'. Read more

   

Steve Williams

Steve Williams, P4C and Inquiry-led learning

Steve is a freelance teacher and editor committed to helping children and young people to think for themselves: to read critically, to think philosophically, to talk collaboratively and to write meaningfully. He is also the other founder and co-director of p4c.com, and was one of the founders of SAPERE, theP4C charity in the UK. His specialism's include P4C, thinking sills, writing for learning, teaching the humanities and readers theatre. Read more
